There are a variety of products, apparel, services and more to view and purchase at the Asheville Marathon & Half Health and Fitness Expo at the DoubleTree Hotel in Biltmore Village, Asheville, NC. You will find marathon memorabilia and discounted items that are of interest to runners. Visit our merchandise table at the expo!


Have your shirt + race bib mailed to you before the event by purchasing that option from the race store. The deadline for this purchase is February 26th at midnight, and all packets will be mailed out approximately 1 1/2 – 2 weeks prior to race day. If you end up needing a bib replaced, it will cost $5 at either packet pickup session.

Parking: Please park in the front or rear of DoubleTree Hotel or at the brand new Hampton Inn. When you enter the Doubletree hotel, PLEASE go in the FRONT entrance of the Hotel, so that you can follow the proper flow of the expo and have the best experience.

Packet Pick-Up: Participants can pick-up their race bibs and race goody bag at the expo on Friday, March 17th anytime between 11am-7pm.

Note: For emergency situations only: A race day Packet Pickup (in Downtown Asheville near start line)  – 6:30am-7:30am – your race number will be available for pre-race pick-up.  After the race – goody bags and shirts will be at the finish line at the Wedge at Foundation. 

    • Note: If you plan to take the shuttle to the start line, you will have to have your race number to board the shuttle on race morning from Doubletree Hotel. This means you would need to have your race number mailed or pick up your number at the expo on Friday, March 17th. 
    • Opt in for the ‘ship my race number’ option when you sign up online at Race Roster. This will help you to avoid the hassle of race day pickup.
    • If you already received your bib and lost it, there is a $5 replacement fee that can be paid at either packet pickup session.

You can purchase this option from the race store for $15 during registration or from the race store up until February 26th at midnight. Runners can be shuttled to the start line from either DoubleTree Hotel in Biltmore Village or the Hampton Inn. Shuttle tickets are included in your registration fee, but are only for registered runners. Spectators who want to ride the shuttles need to purchase a ticket from the race store. We recommend looking for lodging at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Asheville or stay next door at the Hampton Inn. These two hotels are the most convenient locations to get a race morning shuttle to and from the race. 



We are following current industry standards and State of North Carolina requirements for creating a safe race environment with the pandemic. The permit has been signed and approved with the City of Asheville for the 2022 event. As the public health situation changes, precautions could be updated to include required rapid COVID testing, regardless of vaccination status.

Above all else, we are striving to make this event as safe as it can possibly be for all our participants, volunteers, and staff. If you're feeling unwell (or uncomfortable participating), we want you to be able to stay home, stay safe, and join us virtually without feeling like you're losing out.

Here are our options for registered participants who can't make it to the race:

TRANSFER FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL: You can transfer your in-person registration to a virtual registration for free, or $10 the week of the race before the start of your race.

REFUNDS: Participants can request to be removed from the race for a $40 refund up until October 31st at midnight. After that date, no refunds will be given.

CANCELLATION: As we all know, the pandemic changes things quickly! We ask that you be flexible and patient as we may have to adjust things for this event up until the event takes place. If there are new limits on gathering restrictions set forth by the state of NC, we will adjust the start procedure to accommodate this limit and proceed with the event if possible. In the event that the U.S. or NC government, Buncombe County or City of Asheville declares a new stay-at-home order and we are not able to have the in person event, all ‘in person’ event registrations will automatically be converted to the Virtual Event.

If the race gets switched to a virtual event, you will have your swag mailed to you (shirt + medal) for free. These items can be picked up locally or mailed for free if you are from out of town.
