iDaph events and the Asheville Marathon want to make sure and give back directly to our own local community, so we have chosen a second charity to donate a portion of the race proceeds. Both the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society | Team in Training and the Mission Cancer Center will benefit from this inaugural event in Western North Carolina.

The Mission Cancer Program provides the treatment and survivorship needs of patients and families in an 18 county region of Western North Carolina. Mission Hospital cares for approximately 3000 new cancer patients annually. The majority of the patients are able to receive radiation and infusion therapy along with integrative health and survivorship support in one central location…the SECU Cancer Center. A portion of the proceeds from the Asheville Marathon will enable Mission to provide additional comprehensive treatments and services to many of the 150 patients that are receiving daily treatment at the SECU Cancer Center.
