- Mike Merino, a visually impaired runner who qualified for the Boston Marathon during our 2016 Asheville Marathon.
Danny Dreyer is the Co-Founder and President of ChiRunning and ChiWalking. Dreyer is an accomplished Ultra Marathon runner (races longer than a marathon) and has raced every distance from a 10K to 100 miles. He has successfully completed 40 ultra-marathons since 1995, finishing in the top 3 in his age group in all but one. In August 2005 he placed second in his age group in the USATF National 50k Championships. Danny has been a featured speaker at the prestigious Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego Marathons, as well as at hundreds of other health and wellness events across the country. –ChiRunning.com
Mike Merino, 45, has a hereditary disease, Usher Syndrome Type II, which caused moderate hearing loss at birth and an onset of Retinitis Pigmatosis (a degenerative eye disease) in his 20s. He was not formally diagnosed until his late 30s and has coped with his condition and prognosis by competing as a visually impaired athlete since 2013 – a year after he crossed the threshold for legal blindness. He now has zero peripheral vision as well as night blindness. –ashevillemarathon.com

Please pick-up your ticket(s) at the Pre-Event Dinner Booth at the Expo on Friday, March 10th. You will be given a BIltmore Estate ticket to enter the estate for dinner if you are not staying on the estate grounds
What Can We Expect to Find on the Pasta Buffet?
We are still planning this menu in detail but rest assured, it will provide options for meat and veggie eaters alike! And of course, there will be plenty of pasta.
How Much Does the Pasta Buffet Cost?
It is $28.00/adult and $12/child 12 and under.
What’s the dress code for dinner?
It’s casual! We know you are gearing up for the big 13.1 and 26.2 so come casual but not too casual!
Where Do I Park if I’m not Staying on the estate?
There is plenty of parking in Antler Hill Village!
When Do I Have to Purchase My Dinner Ticket(s) By?
We will close Pre-Race Dinner Ticket Sales online on March 6, 2017 (or sooner if we sell out the dinner tickets). If there are still spaces available, you can purchase a ticket at the Expo on Friday.
What if I purchase my Dinner Ticket and I Can No Longer Come?
Sorry, but dinner tickets are non-refundable. You may give to a friend!
